There was an eerie dragging sound that filled the beach. There was a soggy almost, slick noise as the being dreaded across the sand of the beach. Attracted to the sound of joyous laughing and giggling...drawn to the scent of the fire of the bomb fire everyone seemed to be oblivious to the dangers of being on the beach at night...sharks feed at night...and so does the kakó só̱ma. The Kako' was one to be feared more than a shark...his bites hurt more...and he never just grazed he always ate his victims. There was never any hesitation. There was never any suspecting hints of his arrival...no visual ones. He left plenty of audible sounds. Though...when it came to seeing this murderous being that was a different story.
The kids...all about twenty...children to the Kako'...Danced about the bomb fire the nano wire like hairs that bent the light around them to make his entire body invisible. He stopped and merely observed. The winds that carried the fire suddenly stopped, and an overwhelming chill swept over the land. The smell of blood and decay filled their nostrils, the feeling of being watched owned the ten teenagers who suddenly, stopped. They looked around as darkness loomed around the precious fire; making the teenagers huddle towards the fire. The smell of fear filled the air, besides the dark grey in hue carbon the fire was giving off. Then they heard it the five loud POPS! They were slick in nature but loud enough to bring about the chill of goose bumps about the teenagers bodies in series.
The popping noise that was heard was not just for the harmonizing sound of the heart rate increasing in the humanoid prey of the Zephyrus. It was the breaking off of five dime sized spider parasites that had a slender body with eight legs, which burrowed in the sand and rushed towards the unsuspecting young'ens.
The girl known as Sarah; who had just turned twenty today, was extremely fear struct....She had been dancing the music embedded into her soul, then...the dragging noise...she was the only one who noticed that grueling noise that seemed to get closer and closer, she assumed it was someone approaching...but it had not been. Then, the calm salty breeze stopped. That had alerted her completely she had been raised by the sea her entire life, and one thing that stayed the same was the constant breeze of the sea during November...then it had suddenly, stopped? No. There was something wrong, she looked around at her friends who had stopped dancing as well, and looked around. They saw nothing but faint lights in the distance and the light reflecting from the dark ocean. Then..even that disappeared..They were surrounded my imminent darkness, that and the sound of the waves died down...then they heard something that made their flesh crawl..made the goosebumps inhabit their bodies. The five curdling POPS! She couldn't take it anymore she ran towards the shadows, desperate to get out of the suspenseful tension of death that loomed upon them.
As, soon as she crossed into the darkness, a thick and large in radius hole ripped through her body, the Zephyrus'a antenna that danced about his whole body. The punctured body of the female rose into the sky to the screams of her comrades, then her body was whipped into the darkness, around 90 degrees, invisible behind the darkness to the screaming humanoids. The tendril seared through the darkness, the spider lick creature's little girls face's eyes ripped open, the face of the spider like creature split in half with blood splattering as the body was stuffed into the crack, where the body was mashed about, with the sounds of bones breaking beneath the immense pressure and sharp teeth that aligned, beneath the sweet child's face of this arachnid like creature, that seemed to make an ear splitting screech as it feasted.
One of the males saw it first, the small boy, naked curled up on the sand shivering. They had just heard the screeching and no one wanted to move. The male huffed, he was going to help the child..he approached slowly, as the child sniffled and looked up. Just then, five people scream behind him, and he turns to see, five faceless people's body decomposing as they scratch away at the others, and come running towards him. He turns back around and the child is standing straight up, and his jaws open and his cheeks splitting apart in a bloody mess as he takes a chomp out of the male's neck and drags him into the darkness..
